How to Volunteer
- The call for applications is posted online early December and closes January 15. All applicants must upload a resume or curriculum vitae and a headshot during the application process.
Board seats are open to any MPI member in good standing. Officer applicants must have completed one full year or must currently sit on the board-aside from chairman-elect candidates who must be standing board members.
Board members must receive employer support prior to accepting the assignment. Board members are required to attend face-to-face meetings throughout their term as well as make an effort to attend MPI's conferences. Some of these meetings will be reimbursed per the Volunteer Reimbursement Guidelines while others will be at the Board members expense.
- Every February the Governance and Nominating Committee meets to select a slate of candidates for the next fiscal year's Board of Directors. Prior to selecting the slate, each applicant is interviewed by a committee member. The committee then evaluates each candidate's skill set and creates a Board slate with a well-rounded talent base.
