Jordan Clark

In his position as vice president of sales for Caesars Entertainment, Jordan D. Clark oversees the group sales efforts for over 38 hotels nationwide including many locations such as Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, New Orleans and Tunica.  Caesars Entertainment operates over 8,000 meetings annually and has a nationwide sales force of nearly 100 people.  Jordan has been in his current role since June of 2011.

In the 2005 merger of Harrah’s Entertainment and Caesars Entertainment, Jordan held the position of Vice President of Sales – Las Vegas.  In this position he was a key player in the creation and implementation of a single unified sales force across all eight properties; branded as Las Vegas Meetings by Caesars Entertainment. Jordan had oversight of a team of nearly 60 salespeople and annual revenues of $400 million.

Clark has a longstanding relationship with Meeting Professionals International, currently serving on the International Board of Directors for 2010-2014. Jordan began as a member in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Louisiana chapter of MPI, and later served on the board for the Greater New York chapter. Clark was also awarded the President’s Award in 1999 by the Long Island Exchange, a division of the Greater New York chapter.  He also has served as the Chair of the Marketplace Advisory Council, 2008-2009.

Educating the next generation of the sales and hospitality industry is something that Clark holds dear. He currently serves as a member of the International Advisory Board for the Rochester Institute of Technology School of Hospitality and Service Management where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Resort Management. Clark also participates in the mentor program offered through the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration where he recently won the Mentor of the Year award in 2011. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism at Valley High School in Las Vegas.

Having such an extensive background in the meetings and sales industry has allowed Jordan to be published as an expert source in nearly every meetings industry publication including cover stories for both Salesforce XP and Sales and Marketing Management Magazine. Clark has also been featured in articles including “Fam U: Harrah’s Takes Meeting Planner Familiarization Tours to Next Level” in Successful Meetings Magazine and “Harrah’s Teams Up” in Sales and Marketing Management Magazine.

Jordan began his career in San Francisco, California as a Management Trainee with Stouffer Stanford Court Hotel. Clark then spent six years with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, before heading to Las Vegas and working as director of sales for the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, followed by director of sales for the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. Jordan began his career with Harrah’s Entertainment in 2004 as the director of sales and pavilion operations at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino and Harrah’s Las Vegas, overseeing the sales and meeting operations departments for both hotels.

Clark holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Resort Management with minors in both Communications and Hospitality Real Estate from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York.
