DIVERSITY & INCLUSION TASK FORCE

2017 Objective: Diversity and inclusion is an important priority for MPI. The Task Force will assist in understanding the multicultural communities underrepresented in the meetings industry and our membership to help build relationships and foster an environment for education and inclusion. Raise awareness around issues that may impact minority groups within the meeting and event community and provide guidance for MPI’s diversity initiatives and engagement on diversity-related issues.

LIVE EVENT EDUCATION PROPOSAL REVIEW TASK FORCE

2017 Objective: Advise MPI around relevant education through reviewing and validating speaker proposals for MPI’s signature live events (e.g. WEC, EMEC, Smart Monday, etc.) and act as a sounding board, providing input for topics, advice on speakers, and educational format.
