Bruce MacMillan
President and Chief Executive Officer
My job is to help make our members successful. If you are successful, the meetings and events industry and profession will thrive and make a difference economically and socially. I do that by helping put together the best team, getting you great tools (physical, emotional and intellectual) and then activating great human connections. I like to take on big challenges, deploy innovative approaches and solutions and always have fun in the process.

I am responsible for the development of our community, including new markets, strategic alliances and new products and services. Additionally, through our talented Knowledge and One+ publication teams, we are able to provide our members with a globally recognized and transferable career Knowledge Plan and industry award winning publication. I also oversee the MPI Foundation and work closely with our Global Board of Trustees and Council members on our valuable investor donors to deliver business and industry specific thought leadership initiatives to our meetings and events industry.

I work with Sandra Riggins and support the Board of Directors including: Board meeting and agenda development, Committee operations, Executive Committee, and Governance and Nominating Committee. I am the point person for communications to and from the Board of Directors and other volunteer leaders.  I also manage the RISE Awards program.

I manage Bruce's calendar, travel and all appointments, including chapter visits, speaking engagements and other industry events. I’m the liaison between the Chair of the Board and our chapter communities.

I provide exceptional customer services to MPI members inquiring about renewals, reinstates, rejoins and new memberships.  I am your member services leader for members in Dallas/Fort Worth, Minnesota and the At-Large United States. 
Jimmie Boyd
Member Services Coordinator
I provide frontline member service by handling inquiries received via telephone, email, or fax.  I work direclty with my respective chapter leaders to increase renewals and new memberships.  I spend time making outbound calls to encourage members to renew and discuss with them how MPI works to make them smarter, connected, and successful. I am also the liaison between members and InFocus Marketing for setting up a list rental and direct mailings.  I primarily work with chapters in the Southeast, East Coast, and Texas.

I am responsible for managing the operations support for the membership team and managing membership-related projects to increase member satisfaction.  I manage the operations of the MPI Store, and maintain educational resources to provide professional development opportunities for chapters and members.

I am also responsible for the intake and distribution of payments for membership via direct mail and bank lock box.  I primarily work with chapters on the West Coast and Southwest.

As benefit fulfillment manager, I am responsible for managing our Foundation Investor’s partnerships. I work directly with our investors to maximize their return on investment with MPI and fulfill all their benefits.

As a part of the CBM team, I am responsible for 12 Northeast and Midwest state chapters. My objective is to ensure chapter success and growth through business planning, effective communication, community involvement, and program development. I am based in Orlando, Florida.

I am responsible for working with 14 MPI chapters in the Southeast and Mid Central States. I ensure that each chapter works effectively within their community by maintaining financial stability and strong educational/networking programs. I am based in Orlando, Florida.
