Meeting Professionals International (MPI) selects ACGI’s association anywhere™ Software to Manage all Aspects of its Membership Data
New relationship management software to bolster
MPI’s member service

COLUMBIA, Md. - Oct. 29, 2002 – ACGI, the first 100 percent Web-based association management software recently announced that it has finalized an agreement with Meeting Professionals International (MPI) to provide an enterprise-wide solution that will deliver more personalized member service, greater efficiency among the internal and telecommuter staff and seamless communication among its three global offices.

The acquisition of a new member relationship management system is a strategy outlined in MPI’s 2002-2003 Member Value and Marketing plan … developed to continuously improve member care by delivering relevant and compelling education and value to each of the association’s nearly 20,000 members and stakeholders. ACGI’s Web-based software will give MPI vastly improved capabilities to track, analyze, and use data more efficiently in the administration of programs and services, ultimately improving member care.

Association anywhere™ will provide one central source of information for all MPI members, chapters and staff to access, which will ensure accuracy and consistency in member data. Additionally, because of the strong self-service modules, MPI staff will be able to spend more time on member care functions instead of task level work.

"We are excited to work with MPI as they take member services to an even higher level," said Kevin Hostutler, president of ACGI. "Through association anywhere™, MPI has the tools to enrich the value of their membership, provide more efficient information management to their staff both locally and globally, and allows for improved support of their members and chapters."

The multi-phased deployment is scheduled to begin December 2002 with releases throughout 2003.

Edwin L. Griffin, Jr., CAE, president and CEO of MPI added, "The more membership and industry data we have, the more opportunity we have to provide superior service and value to our members. ACGI’s user-friendly, real-time software and its reporting features will not only enhance our member care, but enrich management efficiencies throughout every level of the association."

MPI has 70 employees headquartered in Dallas with two international offices located in Luxemburg and Canada. As the largest professional society for the $96.4 billion meeting industry, MPI helps its members enhance their professional value by providing them with best practices, superior education, the latest research and trends, professional development and networking opportunities. MPI’s award-winning monthly publication, The Meeting Professional, is one of the industry’s leading resources.
