Closing Night Gala Dinner
Reggia di Venaria Reale
Tuesday, 3 March, 2009
19:30–01:00
Dress code: Business / Evening Attire
Join us for a sumptuous Gala Dinner at the Reggia di Venaria Reale, a huge complex that includes the baroque Royal Residence and gardens and the 3000 hectare La Mandria Park. Re-opened to the public in June 2007 following a massive restoration, both the palace and park are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Built in the mid-17th century, it's one of the most significant examples of baroque art and architecture in existence and is one of the most beautiful royal residences in Europe.
The Palace, which was designed in 1658 by Amedeo di Castellamonte for Duke Carlo Emanuele II, together with the Gallery of Diana, lemon-house and Sant'Uberto galleries and chapel designed by Juvarra make up the "Versailles" of Torino: an outstanding complex which blends in beautifully with the village and surrounding park.
