How to Create Energy in Meetings
Bo Krüger
A majority of meetings will at some point reach everybody’s spot of boredom. In this workshop, you will be enriched with tips and tricks on how to create energy in meetings, regardless of the number of participants. Energy is often solely related to teambuilding events, but it is both relevant and possible in all kinds of meetings. Meetings with lots of energy among the participants are more effective, inspiring, fun and beneficial.

In the session, you will explore:

  • What can we learn from Hollywood blockbusters
  • How and when to use icebreakers and energizers
  • How moving bodies can move minds

Managing and Working in a Matrix: How to Operate in Changing Organisational Structures
David Bancroft-Turner
Most of us are familiar with working in a hierarchy, as it is based on an expanded version of the traditional family structure. Getting things done, decision making and problem solving can be quite slow and organisations are seeking alternative ways to speed up their response times to their customers. Many organisations are using ‘Matrix’ structures as an alternative and this involves people working with others from different functional areas, to work across the organisation e.g. by using business or process streams, projects, cross functional teams, business partnering, shared services etc. This is a very different way of organising a workforce and it requires different skills and behaviours to make it work effectively.
