About the City

Sophia Antipolis is a world recognized technology park nestled in a cluster of hills overlooking the Mediterranean northwest of Antibes and southwest of Nice, France. Much of the park falls within the commune of Valbonne. Sophia Antipolis, France is surrounded by more than 1,200 companies that employ about 25,000 people primarily consisting of companies in the fields of computing, electronics, pharmacology and biotechnology. Several institutions of higher learning are also located here, along with the European headquarters of W3C.
