The importance of this study and the data that it will make available to Meeting Professionals will impact business decisions on an organizational, national, and international scale as the results influence a more complete picture of what meetings and events mean to the US economy. The potential that this represents for “turning the tide” in the struggle to legitimize and elevate the industry and our professions is so great that MPI is dedicated to making as much information available to as many people in our industry and those stakeholders directly or peripherally affected by our industry as possible. Therefore we are inviting non-members to participate in this landmark webinar at no charge in an effort to make the impact more widely know and understood.
Once the US Economic Impact Study results have been released, the power of the results will become a juggernaut of momentum for the meetings and business events industry. Harnessing the power of this data will be challenging, but if done effectively it can drive major positive change for our industry and the professionals within it. The study will provide proof for what meeting professionals knew all along – our business drives value to organizations, value to individual participants and positive monetary impact to the economy, and is also critical to the evolution and success of humanity, commerce and culture.
By the time you come to this webinar with your questions, you will have seen the results and likely heard many perspectives on the data. This global webcast will take it to another level; Robert Canton from PricewaterhouseCoopers will help us to understand the data and what it means to us as industry professionals and to our organizations. We’ll demystify what can be done with the data to affect long- and short-term progress. Two strong industry voices will actively participate in the conversation, reacting to the data from planner and supplier perspectives. We’ll have open dialogue about the industry’s status and the relevance and significance of this new information.
The conversation will be facilitated by one of MPI’s International Board of Director members, and MPI’s Chief Development Officer, Didier Scaillet will share other relevant information that MPI now has to supplement the USEIS results, including preliminary data from the MPI Foundation’s Future of Meetings Research study, MPI’s FutureWatch publication and the latest MPI Business Barometer results, as well as the Getting Business Done – How and Why Meetings and Business Events Bolster Your Overall Strategy insert, created in conjunction with American Business Journals.

A separate email will be sent to you 24 hours prior to the webinar start time providing you with the webinar log on information/link.
