Rail Service
Malaga has excellent rail links with the rest of Spain. With the completion of the new high-speed train system, the journey to Madrid now takes only two and a half hours. Likewise, the new system offers faster connections to other cities, such as Barcelona, Zaragoza, Cordova and Seville. The city also has a new train station, Vialia, which is both spacious and modern, housing a shopping mall, leisure complex and 4-star hotel. www.renfe.es
Bus Service
Located close to the city centre, the bus station provides links with the other major transport systems. Andalusia’s excellent road network makes this an ideal way to travel to towns and cities in the Malaga area, and the rest of Andalusia and Spain. In addition, the bus station works with companies that transport passengers to and from destinations throughout Europe and even North Africa. www.stea.com/estbus
