What is the first official conference event? When does the meeting open?
For all delegates, the community project is the first official conference event and begins at 12.00 on Sunday, 27 February and includes lunch. Conference pre-sessions start at 15:00 and are followed by the Opening General Session and the Welcome Reception.
What is the last official conference event? When does the meeting end?
The European Meeting and Events Conference concludes on Tuesday, March 2nd with the Closing Night Gala Dinner starting at 19:30.
What is the Dress Code?
Attire for The European Meeting and Events Conference 2010 is business attire, except for the evening events which have different needs. Click here for more information.

What is the Community Service Project?
The project is focused on the replacement of non-native trees in the natural park “Montes de Málaga“ (Málaga Mountains) in order to bring the parkland back to its natural state and reduce wildfire risk. Located 800 m above the sea level we’ll be working to plant trees and learning about the park whilst enjoying spectacular views of the city, an event not to miss! Newly scheduled on the Sunday prior to the full event kick-off, the project only costs a symbolic 10 Euro* donation and will include lunch.

What is the MPI Cafe?
The MPI Cafe is the central hub of activity for the conference. In the MPI Cafe you will find basic refreshments, MPI and Press Publications, the MPI Resource Corner Reservation spot, Internet Cafe, , Malaga/Andalucia Information Desk and much more.

All registration fees are net, excluding Spanish VAT of 16%
*The amount of €870 includes conference registration and one year of MPI membership. Send €545 to Showcare for your registration, and your MPI membership will be invoiced separately in the amount of €325.

What is included in my registration fee?
A full conference registration includes all educational sessions (with the exception of optional and/or additional fee sessions as indicated on the registration form); the Welcome Reception on Sunday and Opening night event; lunches and coffee breaks on Monday and Tuesday, and the Closing Night Gala Dinner on Tuesday. The registration fee does not include the Rendezvous Party and Dinner on Tuesday, the CSR project or Carbon offset.
How will I receive my badge?
When you arrive at The European Meeting and Events Conference and check in at the registration counter, you will receive your badge. Please note that a photo ID may be required to pick up badges/materials. Attendees will not be allowed to pick up other attendee badges/materials.

What if I need to cancel my registration?
Cancellations must be received in writing prior to 2 February 2009 and are subject to a €75 processing fee. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the conference. Refunds will not be granted after 2 February 2009 nor will they be given for no-shows. Please mail, fax, or email cancellations to emec@showcare.com.
What if I need to send someone else in my place?
Delegates may transfer registrations but may be charged an additional fee depending on registration type. All requests must be sent to emec@showcare.com.
