Community Project
Date: Sunday, 28 February 2010
Place: “Montes de Malaga“ (Malaga Mountains) - Natural Park
Time: 11.00-16.00 (Bus departs at 11.00)
This year we have a new and improved project offering you a great opportunity to give back to the Malaga community whilst enjoying the green surroundings of the city and networking with your other responsible peers.
Newly scheduled on the Sunday prior to the full event kick-off, the project only costs a symbolic 10 Euros* donation and will include lunch.
The project is focused on the replacement of non-native trees in the natural park “Montes de Malaga“ (Malaga Mountains) in order to bring the parkland back to it’s natural state and reduce wildfire risk . Located 800 m above the sea level we’ll be working to plant trees and learning about the park whilst enjoying spectacular views of the city, an event not to miss! Place: Malaga Old Town and Liceo: C/ Beatas 21, 29008 Malaga
Time: 21.30–01:00 (Tapas Tour prior)

Back and better than ever before, the MPI Foundation’s Rendezvous Party will this year include tickets for 2 “raciones” dishes and 2 drinks at your choice of 8 tapas restaurants in Malaga’s old town surrounding the party location, an old mansion built in 1875 and the host of many of the respected Malaga Film festival’s parties, frequented by the likes of Antonio Banderas.
Start off working your way through the winding streets with friends and colleagues, soaking up the Andalucian atmosphere before heading to the “Liceo” at 9.30 where there’ll be an open bar until 1.00. The nightclub will be open as long as the party is swinging and for one night only, it'll be the place to catch up with friends and colleagues, network and dance the night away. And, remember, it's all for a good cause. The additional registration fee for tonight’s event not only covers your food and drinks for the highlight of the international meeting industry's social calendar but also covers a donation to the MPI Foundation, the charitable arm of MPI re-investing your donations into supporting a rich, global meetings and events industry and shaping the future of the meetings and events profession through research and education.
Closing Night Gala Dinner

Date: Monday, 2 March 2010
Place: Malaga Bullring
Time: 20.00
Dress: Business/Evening Attire
Don’t miss this year’s fabulous closing night dinner in Malaga’s 19th century arena used for concerts, dinners and occasionally bullfighting. The arena has been the focal point of Malagueno culture for over 135 years and is still the place to come to witness cultural spectacles of the highest order. Tonight, MPI’s Spanish host’s will be sure to give us a great send off with top-level cuisine and entertainment into the small hours.
Following the fabulous dinner, EMEC attendees will dance the night away with the amazing Song Division band. It's not just any band, it's THEIR band, having written and recorded a song with them on Monday. Playing classics from ABBA to The Stones to the most recent chart hits, this is one of Europe's premier party bands. Just ask Rod Stewart - the band recently played his wedding in Portofino!
