Any industry professional who is an active buyer of meeting, incentive, conference, convention, or other group travel program is eligible to join the program as a planner. Doing business in Cancun or Mexico is not a pre-requisite for this program. Simply fill out the online application and submit to MPI for review. All applications will be reviewed and evaluated equally based on potential for future business, scope, buying power and other criteria regardless of location.

We understand the varying demands you have on budgets and getting corporate approvals to attend professional development programs, so we have developed the Hosted Buyer Program to cover most of your costs if you agree to the Rules of the program.
Once you meet our program acceptance guidelines, you’ll be asked to pre-select 15 individual appointments with suppliers that meet your individual needs. You’ll be asked to keep these appointments at MeetDifferent and we’ll cover your accommodations and conference registration or flight. That’s it. No strings attached.

In an effort to bring attention to the top trends in the meetings industry, MPI will be hosting an unconventional series of Soap Box Debates throughout MeetDifferent in Cancun. The debates are an unconventional content platform which will ultimately stretch the minds of all involved. In order to add some structure to these speeches and conversations, MPI is requesting topic submissions here.
