This panel of distinguished executives will shed light on their personal career growth and organizational objectives around both the environmental and human rights aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As many organizations are focusing key efforts, business strategies and resources around CSR initiatives, a new career path and career focus is emerging for many current and aspiring executives. This discussion will center around new CSR measurement and implementation strategies, objectives and goals. We'll also hear directly from executives who embrace CSR, how their recent initiatives have uplifted their organization's brand, helped the organization's bottom line, and increased employee satisfaction levels.

Tim Sanders

Tim Sanders speaks for strong business relationships , both internal and external. “Get them right,” he says, “and you’ll grow your business during good and bad times alike.”
His relevant point of view makes him one of the most in demand speakers on the conference and convention circuit. His expertise, and deep research capabilities make him an indispensible consultant to some of the biggest brands in the world. His Los Angeles based company, Deeper Media, conducts research on business trends, new media and human behavior.
Tim has valuable experience in cuttingedge businesses, sales and marketing. He’s weathered the quality movement as well as the dotcom crash and emerged with precious insight. He was the Chief Solutions Officer at Yahoo! and later their Leadership Coach. Prior to these senior positions Tim created and led the Yahoo! ValueLab, an in-house “think tank” which delivered futuristic insight on technology and human behavior. He was an early member of Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner’s broadcast.com, the most successful opening day IPO in history.
His first book, Love Is the Killer App: How To Win Business and Influence Friends is a New York Times and international business best seller, translated in a dozen languages. It stresses the importance of knowledge sharing, networking and compassion. His follow up, The Likeability Factor, explains the concept of emotional talent and the importance of creating an engaging experience. It was the basis for a PBS Special, produced by leading affiliate WQED.
His newest book, Saving The World At Work, examines the external relationship between a business, its people and society. It makes a strong business case for CSR and sustainability being at the top of a company’s strategic agenda. The book was named as one of the top 30 business books of 2008 by Executive Soundview.
His work is frequently featured in the media, most recently in The New York Times, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal and Fast Company.
He was born in Clovis, New Mexico. He attended Loyola Marymount University and studied in the graduate school of communications at the University of Arizona.
David Michael Jerome

SVP Corporate Responsibility, IHG
David Michael Jerome is the Senior Vice President for Corporate Responsibility at InterContinental Hotels Group based in the United Kingdom. IHG leads the industry in environmental innovation with its guide to sustainable hotel building, construction and operations. IHG is also leading in community investment and local economic development, with over 4200 hotels globally.
Before joining IHG in 2006, David led Corporate Affairs for AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer. Prior to AB InBev, David worked for General Motors in a variety of staff and operational roles. He was head of GM Korea before assuming responsibility for GM’s global reputation and corporate responsibility activities. David practiced law in Washington, D.C. before joining GM.
David and his wife and two children have lived in Asia, North America and Europe.

He is the President of the Green Meetings Industry council and Sustainability Director at MCI Group, the world largest integrated event and association management company. With over 900 staff in 5 continents, Guy runs one of the most comprehensive CSR programs in the industry. He is recognized as a “green leader”, pioneer and expert on creating sustainable events and destinations. Guy manages MCI sustainability Services - a global consulting team that advises the UN, associations, corporations, governments, convention bureaus and venues worldwide. Guy’s social, environmental and business focus has positioned MCI to become a leading global organizer and consultant to Sustainability and CSR events, including the UN Climate Change Conference - COP15, the UN Global Compact, the World Business Summit on Climate Change and many others.
Paul Salinger

Paul Salinger is a Vice-President of Marketing at Oracle. He is focused on strategic communications and developing creative concepts for marketing programs and event marketing. Paul is a 35 year veteran of the event industry working on both the agency and the client side. While the main focus now is marketing and communications, Paul works cross functionally to help event marketing on strategy and event portfolio, sits on a group that looks at new social media tools and methodologies and advises event marketing on what might be applicable for Oracle events and has also taken on the role of sustainability champion for Oracle Event Marketing - leading a global team to develop sustainable meeting practices as a standard process for event planning. He is President-Elect of the Green Meetings Industry Council Board of Directors. He has been with Oracle for 11 years, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.
