In terms of event services that act as performance enhancements, the MyROI service has proven its value through working with MPI. In 2010, planners and suppliers that took the post-event survey proved an average 300+ percent return on investment (ROI) for attendance. The calculation valued the networking, professional development and business generated in relation to the cost of travel, accommodations, time out of office and other factors.
And adding to the value of participation, MyROI, from MeetingMetrics, is free. The service is returning this year for professionals in Orlando, and it is better than before. Ira Kerns, Managing Director at MeetingMetrics, is hosting a pre-con webinar that will tell you how to maximize your WEC ROI (June 28, 11 a.m. CST/6 p.m. CET). If you miss it then, it will be available 24/7 on PD On Demand (free for members).
On-site at the Orange County Convention Center, attend the July 24 8:30 a.m. information session for one-on-one guidance. A MyROI help desk will be available throughout conference, where professionals can go with general questions and requests for assistance with setting objectives and session selection. Independent planners will have guidance on setting up personal ROI objectives.
Post-conference, participants will keep track of how the WEC education received has been put into action through planning and generated revenue. After completing the post-event survey, professionals will receive a 12-page individualized report that they can then present to management, explicitly outlining the value for their attendance at WEC.
The complete overview of MyROI is on the WEC site. For now, watch for the June 28 webinar and make a note of the on-site info session so you can pump up your results from attending in Orlando.
