Speakers: Roger Rickard & Mike Dominguez

Join us for a “talk show” interactive discussion between the audience and committed industry professionals who “walk the talk” when it comes to advocating meetings and the economic and business value they bring our organizations, communities and government entities. This discussion will help you to gain an understanding of the legislative process and the policies that drive it, and engage with other concerned and committed industry professionals who share your desire to make a difference.

How do we adapt to compete? How do we shrink the influence that elected officials, media, and other stakeholders have played within our industry? Learn effective communication techniques to engage with these stakeholders and new skills that will empower you to make a difference in your career, organization and industry.

The objective is to make you aware of successful advocacy strategies that enable you to influence policy makers and garner support for projects beneficial to our industry and profession. You will leave with the tools needed to communicate with a strong, united voice advocating the value of meetings. For additional information on this session, click here >>
