What does the Internet say about you? Are you on there? Do your profiles tell the whole story about your career? Or do they reveal liabilities that could prove to be harmful to your future employment? This session will walk through the importance of proactively building an online reputation -- a process that’s critical to future career opportunities -- and provide concrete details on how to be “found” online. The session will also provide a toolkit on ways to measure your digital presence and discover what is being said online about you, as well as ways to strategically build positive content. Meetings & events professionals who are interested in developing a career strategy should not miss this timely and relevant presentation.

- Measure your digital presence and find out what is being said about you
- Manage and what to do about “digital dirt” that could become a career liability

About CEU Credits
Many of the sessions at WEC 2012 will provide CEUs. Some exceptions are Flash Point, and a few of the interactive, peer-to-peer learning sessions designed to get people talking. MPI is working with CIC to make sure the most up-to-date and accurate information about what sessions are eligible according to the blueprint sections of the CMP exam. The maximum amount of CEU's you can receive at WEC 2012 is 12.5, including 1 session per time slot and both General Sessions. All sessions that are eligible for CEU credit are notated on the website.
CEU’s are provided at a conversion rate of .1 to 1 contact hour of learning – so a 1.5 hour session would be .15 CEU’s. Something that we started this year, since the CIC now uses contact hours as their measurement, is recording BOTH in the MPI member transcripts that can be accessed on the website through the Career Development tab once you are signed in as a member.
