St. Louis welcomes Meeting Professionals International to its opening event, the WEC “Party at the Park,” at Busch Stadium, the home of the 2011 World Champion Cardinals. This unforgettable evening will feature entertainment, world-class cuisine and unparalleled access to stadium facilities that will leave you feeling like a World Champion.
From the moment you arrive, you will be surrounded by authentic sights and sounds of St. Louis. Musical performances will delight, signature cocktails and Anheuser-Bush products will be flowing and a beloved Clydesdale will be on hand for pictures. Hot Air Balloons in centerfield, aerial acts high above the stadium and a unique array of performance art throughout the infield will showcase St. Louis’ artistic talent.
The ballpark’s dynamic catering team plans to take it to the streets – well, the field – for Party at the Park. The culinary team will be manning five food-truck concepts – each taken from the streets of St. Louis. ‘Soulard Market-Gras’ combines great Cajun/Creole flavors, from St. Louis’ own French Quarter, with fresh farm produce from the famous Soulard Market, founded in the 1830s. A trip to ‘Grand Avenue Fare’ leads you down the path of Asian-inspired cuisine. Adding a little Mexican flavor to the event, the ‘Cherokee Street Cantina’ will boast locally raised and fresh made products. With the influx of Italian immigrants dating back to the 1830s, the St. Louis ‘Hill’ with its Italian background is sure to hit-home with most locals, while becoming a new favorite to visiting guests. But no St. Louis party would be complete without barbeque; to that end, guests will be drawn to the ‘Arch Grill’. To round out the evening, the ‘St. Louis Sweet Shoppe’ will offer several sweet-tooth-satisfying treats including St. Louis’ infamous Gooey Butter Cake – made five ways.
Busch Stadium has opened its doors wide to showcase their world-class facility and to offer WEC attendees a once in a lifetime experience. Take a tour of the Champion’s locker room, the dugouts, the Champion’s club and even test your skills in the bullpen. And don’t miss your opportunity to take a picture with the World Series trophy!
The finale to the evening’s festivities will conclude with a stunning fireworks display that will surround the stadium and provide for an exhilarating kick-off to the World Education Conference in St. Louis.
