Conference registration fees, MPI Foundation Rendezvous tickets and MPI Academy Certificate Programs are subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) of 21%, with the exception of Businesses (taxable persons) established in Spain. The membership portion of the Package Rates is VAT exempt.

Important note for EU registrants: Generally, the VAT on services provided from a company in one-member state to a company in another member state should be accounted by the registrant and the invoice should be issued by the supplier with 0% VAT. The admission for events is an exception of that rule. When it comes to admission fees they should be charged with the VAT of the country where the event takes place, in this case Spain.

Registration Levels

  • Full Conference fee includes: visit to the Alhambra Palaces, Welcome Reception, education sessions, and meal functions. Events requiring advance registration and additional payment are indicated accordingly. Click here to download the EMEC registration form.

  • New Membership Bundles: Fee includes 12 months of MPI Preferred membership and is available for NEW MPI memberships only. Not valid for renewals. Your membership will be activated by the MPI membership team the week of your registration.   • Guest Registration: All guests must register onsite at €125 and must not be in an industry-related position. Co-workers or associates in the industry do not qualify. Guests must be at least 18 years of age. Guest registration includes admission to the Opening General Session, visit to the Alhambra Palaces, and Welcome Reception on Sunday.

Important Information

  • Mailed Registrations Deadline: Please do not mail registrations in after 7-Feb-17 as we cannot guarantee receipt in a timely manner for processing. Payment may be required onsite for registration fees not received. Click here to download a paper registration form.

  • Registration Changes/Additions/Receipts: Once you have completed your registration, you will be sent a confirmation email. In that email is a link to the online registration portal where you can update information, get a copy of your receipt/invoice or make a payment. If you would like us to resend your confirmation, please email MPI@eventPower.com.

  • Event Cancellation by MPI: Meeting Professionals International (MPI) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If MPI cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, MPI has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date. MPI will not be responsible for reimbursement of any participant’s expenses related to the cancellation or postponement of an event.

  • Registration Cancellations: Deadline to request a refund for your EMEC registration is Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Cancellations received after Tuesday, February 7, 2017, will not be eligible for a refund. However, registration fee paid may be applied to a future MPI event, less a $100 service fee. No shows for an event will not receive a refund or credit towards future event(s). All refund requests must be made by the registered attendee or credit card holder and include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method used, no later than (30) days after cancellation has been approved. Please send cancellation requests to MPI@eventPower.com.

  • Substitution Policy: Substitution of registration (same type: member/non-member) is permitted prior to 14-Feb-17 Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant with written consent. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations associated with that substitution as well as updating any contact/demographic information.
