  • Pure Rendezvous raises over $200K

IMEX America was a great success held mid-October in Las Vegas, and an equally successful PureRendezvous presented by the MPI Foundation capped off the event. More than 1,900 people were in attendance at the inaugural event held at the Pure Nightclub at Caesars Palace.

The Foundation helped raise more than US$233,000 in donations, which are immediately reinvested back in support of the community and the meeting and event industry through research, grants and scholarships.

Suzie McNeil, a Toronto native, treated guests to a concert, and each room at Pure had its own DJ. With its overall success, it’s a safe bet that Rendezvous will return to IMEX America in 2012.

    Canada Rocks at Incentiveworks!

Canada Rocks 2011—the most “fun” fundraising event in the meeting industry—was held at the MAISON Night Club in downtown Toronto on August 22 as the official opening night program of Incentiveworks, attended by more than 720 industry professionals.

More than US$100,000 was raised through the generous support of co-title sponsors Caesars Windsor and IHG Canada, Tourism Toronto, our lively attendees, our many supporting partners and the destination sponsors from Maritimes Canada—the featured Canadian region. Fabulous food and beverage and a talented group of Maritime performers who pulled out all the stops demonstrated why the Maritimes is the place to be!
