Alvin’s Laws of Life
MPI U.K. and Ireland Chapter seeks inspiration from man with no arms.

When Alvin Law was born without arms, medical and rehabilitation experts predicted a life of constant care that might be best provided by institutionalization. His family gave him up for adoption. Society would come to know children like Law as Thalidomide Babies and treat them with a mixture of sympathy and disgust. The odds were not in his favor.
Law shared his story with members of the MPI U.K. and Ireland Chapter in November with a presentation be calls Alvin’s Laws of Life. Using vivid imagery in telling his life story, Law explained how attitude, learning, value, imagination and a never-give-up approach helped him overcome the challenges brought on by being born without arms and how anyone can overcome their own challenges in life.
Since 1988, Law has spoken to more than 1 million people, answering the question: How is it possible for someone to succeed in the face of opposition? But the program isn’t just about what he has done, but what is truly possible for everyone. It’s about life, something we all have in common. One+
