World Education Congress 2011 Fast-Tracks Learning Opportunities
More “
Brain Time” Built into Conference
Get Smarter.
That’s the rallying cry for
MPI World Education Congress 2011, July 23-26 in Orlando, as it shifts focus to deliver more practical and more profitable ways to do business in today’s economy.
“It’s less talk and more hands-on and in-your-face ideas for getting business done,” said MPI President and CEO Bruce MacMillan.
Over three days, attendees will have access to
more than 112 educational sessions covering critical industry-specific learning, trends and skills that can immediately be applied to the workplace. WEC-ers will even have the power to create personally relevant content by
voting on the topics and presenters they want to hear in special attendee-generated sessions.
Three new environments for learning and experimentation are being introduced this year:
The Solution Rooms are the go-to destinations for highly interactive learning on essential industry topics. Using a decidedly “unconference” approach, attendees can brainstorm with colleagues and session speakers on business topics and best practices.
WEC’s latest experience, The Daily Download, fosters a peer-to-peer sharing and learning environment while covering the educational offerings of the day. These gatherings encourage WEC-ers to discuss session highlights, get info on sessions they missed and vote for “encores”—sessions they’d like to be put back on the schedule the next day.
The HIVE is the new gathering spot, located in the Global Village, for showcasing the latest in event technology. It’s the ultimate show-and-tell stage in which a tech-savvy concierge staffof digital and social media experts shares the latest tech tools and wizardry.
Professional development has never been more of a priority. A new edition of the popular
Flash Point will feature powerful insights and big ideas from some of the world’s top thought leaders outside the industry. Among the eight special interest tracks for planners and suppliers are the newly developed Outer Limits and Connections. Both emphasize new developments in learning and meeting design, and expanding influence at any level of one’s career. Multiple sessions in all
tracks are designed especially for Senior Planners, packed with C-suite know-how.
With a new emphasis on enhanced panels, workshops, peer-to-peer training and new experimental centers, WEC 2011 will enable attendees--whatever stages of their careers--to achieve business milestones.
