Research Reveals the Future of Meetings

Dec 22, 2014
By Jessie States

Many of us left the world of research years ago, when we left educational institutions and entered the working world. And that’s OK. We’re far too busy trying to design events that create unique, individualized experiences for our participants, partners and stakeholders.

That’s one reason why MPI will again present a research track as part of its annual World Education Congress (WEC) and invites academics and industry experts to submit research papers focusing on a broad range of topics in the convention, exposition, incentive and event space. The ensuing research will then be presented at our annual event, considered for publication in one of our industry’s top journals and possibly be used to inform future MPI magazine topics or research projects—all in an effort to keep our education current and our community informed about the future of meetings.
