What social media will you next be learning how to effectively utilize? Ask the kids…they’re leading this future and adopting new platforms and technologies continually. It’s like breathing for them—this is just how they know existence.
OK, that just got way too philosophical; the point of this post is to direct your eyes to Keek.com. Why? Kids are all over the site! Keek is like the Twitter of videos—users post videos no longer than 36 seconds (that’s a “keek”). With digital video cameras embedded in most mobile devices and faster wireless data speeds, posting a quick video online is almost as easy as sending a tweet.
Why 36 seconds? “After much thought and research, we decided that 36 seconds is the magic number,” according to the Keek FAQ. “It’s just long enough to tell an interesting story, but not long enough to be overwhelmingly boring.”
How’s that for frank acknowledgment of our short-attention-span world? (Oh, snap, this post may be running a bit long then.)
How could you use keeks for your business or event? At first you may draw a blank, but then consider how you adopted Twitter, perhaps skeptically at first…
Enjoy this random keek and then get keeking!
