    Free Conference Calling!

Free conference calling, indeed! That's the latest free offering embedded in Google+, the search giant's largest-effort-to-date in the social mediascape.

Mashable reportsoutside phone calls can be placed from inside a Hangout (a virtual room that allows you to video chat with others). ...you no longer need a Google account or even a computer to join the conversation. A Hangout group can now call in anyone with a phone to listen in. This could not only lure more people to Google+ and grow its user base, but also has potential to revolutionize the way both party lines and conference calls are conducted — from holding meetings to making plans with friends and family.

And it's easy to use: First, click “Invite” at the top of the Hangouts with Extras window, and then select the “Phone” tab on the left of the window. After entering the phone number you want to call, choose “Call now.”

What are you waiting for? Start saving money and integrating your business across the spectrum of free Googleness. And while you're at it, don't forget to add me to one of your circles: http://plus.ly/pinchera.

    Google+ for Online Events

The tech giant's next successful project, Google+, has now successfully been used to broadcast a live press conference--performed by the International Tibet Network (see video below).

Yes, the live attendance limit is set to 10 users names, but this could be used by a group of 30 people or more if smaller in-person groups are centered around connected computers.

It's exciting to see free tools, such as the videoconferencing "Hangout" function of Google+, gaining adoption.

    Defining Google+

Google+ has arrived, and with more people joining every day, questions are being asked about how it works and what it is.

Even though it looks to be another social network, it's more than that. Check out the following slideshow courtesy of Vincent Wong to find out more about what Google+ is and isn't.

    Google Plus: For Businesses

Another new project from Google, trying to leverage the social media-sphere. By the numbers, I presume you, dear readers, haven't had the chance to explore Google+, indeed, many people who received invitations to the beta launch couldn't even sign up because the demand was so significant.

Despite that, ReadWriteBiz shares some valuable insight into how businesses can start getting involved with Google Plus (or fail that, get started thinking about integrating your brand with this new offering).

In their push to bolster usage and interest in Google+, the tech giant is even retiring some much-loved brands, such as Blogger and Picasa, by integrating them into the Google+ beast...which hopes to take on Facebook.
