Palm Springs, California, has welcomed back an American icon. The 26-foot-tall “Forever Marilyn” statue now resides in the epicenter of downtown just a few blocks from the Palm Springs Convention Center.
You’ve got one year to see the Amazonian Marilyn, while the city continues a $100 million downtown revitalization (she departs in June 2013). While in Palm Springs, you’ll want to check out other Monroe sites, too.
