This is the first winter I've actually used a pair of gloves since joining the ranks of smartphone (and touch screen) users more than 3 years ago. Hey, it's Texas, after all, there's little need for gloves. It was more oversight than surprise that struck me as I tried to answer my phone, fingers covered in bright orange thermal goodness.
"Oh yeah, I can't 'touch' the screen," I said aloud to myself.
Slide phone into jacket pocket, remove one glove, remove phone from pocket. Of course, the call went to voicemail before I could prep for it.
Considering alternatives, I took to the Net (gloves removed first). Not only are "texting" gloves available (check out the eco-friendly Fivepoint by Entre, right), but conductive thread can be integrated into your existing mits.
As there's no time to wait and get "texting" gloves into the One+ BUZZ Art of Travel section while winter in the Northern Hemisphere is in full swing, I decided this missive had to get out to our readers online...ASAP.
