Successfully Managing the Business of Your Chapter

Welcome to your 2011 Chapter Business Summit.
This year we meet in Richardson, Texas to discuss and learn ways for your Chapters to build on previous success through membership engagement and education.  You will be able to network and interact with your peers, creating relationships that will also help you to be successful in your leadership experience back home.  In the end, you will leave with new knowledge and insights to empower you to create a stronger chapter through the delivery of quality educational experiences and strong membership engagement.

Who is Attending?

The 2011-2012 chapter leadership positions of President, President-Elect, VP Education (alternates being the Director of Education and then the VP of Finance) are invited to attend. MPI will fund up to three of these leaders per chapter.

Business Objectives:  

• Build on the VISION for MPI 3.0 through the Membership Engagement Campaign (acquisition and retention); through professional education via an enhanced Chapter Education Plan and through the development of stronger personal relationships both with chapter volunteers and the headquarters team.
• Improve communication and understanding between chapter leaders and MPI management of “story”, strategies and messages

Takeaways:

• Attendees will learn the tools to make their Chapter more successful through revenue generation, elevated education and member engagement.
• An alignment between Chapter Leaders, MPI leadership and Management.  Understanding of key strategies and messages and the tools/materials to ensure these strategies and messages can be shared with ALL members at the chapter level.

Reimbursement Policy for Attendees

HOUSING:

MPI will pay lodging expenses (room and tax) as follows, for up to 3 positions per chapter:

U.S. & Mexico Positions 2 room nights at the Hyatt Regency North Dallas
Canadian, Hawaii & Alaska Positions 3 room nights at the Hyatt Regency North Dallas
European Positions 4 room nights at the Hyatt Regency North Dallas

You will make your housing arrangements directly through MPI. Please do not make reservations through the hotel. The hotel rate is $107 USD  plus taxes for extra participants or for anyone who is planning to come early or stay longer than the conference dates.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:

MPI will reimburse invited attendees for airfare expenses* up to the following amounts:

U.S. & Mexico Positions Up to $300 USD per person (airfare)
Canadian, Hawaii & Alaska Positions Up to $500 USD per person (airfare)
European Positions Up to $1,000 USD per person (airfare)
