• Future of Venues

How about a solar-powered, floating resort? It fits the bill in a time when we need venues with a limited or neutral environmental impact and while we're facing rising sea levels. Maybe this isn't just the future of meeting venues but the future of mankind? Sorry to get so Waterworld on you...

  • Cool Runnings

So...the 2014 World Cup mascot is to be an armadillo. (I cringe and recall Izzy at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta...are major event mascots cursed to be uninteresting?)

Spotting a coming trend, your largest client's CEO wants to incorporate an armadillo (or any other nasty small creature) into the design and theme of their next event. The problem: The event isn't taking place in Brazil, it has to be near the U.S. east coast.

I can only imagine it is for eventualities such as this that the Liberty Mountain Resort & Conference Center in Carroll Valley, Penn., developed the talents of native son and snowboarding phenom Ratatouille. Yeah, Rat's a possum.

I don't honestly know if/how Ratatouille can be included in your event at Liberty Mountain Resort...but a boy/CEO can dream.
