SITE + MPI Global Forum: 5 Questions with Mauro Bernardini

Mauro Bernardini

We asked Mauro Bernardini, president of the MPI Italia Chapter, to share insight for those attending the SITE + MPI Global Forum, which begins today in his hometown of Rome. Bernardini is the owner and general manager of All Star Agency, which organizes incentive trips, conventions, trade shows, training and corporate events.

If someone can only do one thing in Rome, what should it be?
Have a walk from Piazza Navona to the bridge of Castel Sant’Angelo. Cross it looking at the ancient Tiber (river), keep walking on Via della Conciliazione until you get to St. Peter’s church and his open arms—incredible emotion and experience through centuries and styles in only two miles.

What is the one meal you recommend for someone to eat while in Rome?
Pasta/Spaghetti with either Cacio e Pepe, Amatriciana or Gricia sauce.

What does it mean for you as an MPI member to have the SITE + Global Forum in Rome?
This is a great opportunity for the Italian Chapter, an inspiration.

What has been the highlight or most memorable part of your career?
Always the last one. In 2017, I convinced Lexus to become the main sponsor of the 74th Venice Film Festival, a huge success. (The event was part of the MPI Experiential Event Series).

What are you most passionate about outside of your career and the meeting industry?
My passion is to travel and enjoy life and experiences. My commitment is to explain that to my sons. It’s better to take a trip to London to watch a Wimbledon match live than get the new iPhone.
