MPI’s 2019 World Education Congress (WEC) begins June 15 in Toronto, and events will be held at a variety of venues, representing the city’s diverse group options. Let’s take a look at some of the spaces.

Metro Toronto Convention Centre

Most WEC activities will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, which debuted in 1984 when the North Building opened for business with a formal dedication by Queen Elizabeth II. The centre covers more than 2 million square feet, including seven exhibition halls (442,000 square feet), 77 meeting rooms (129,000 square feet), two ballrooms (78,000 square feet) and a 1,232-seat theater. The centre has hosted more than 20,000 events and has added $6.3 billion in direct-spending economic impact to the community.
