Here are five actionable steps you can take to make sure that the next time you show your space, you are executing a memorable and professional tour that can create an advantage to winning the business. 1. Be knowledgeable
Prior to committing to showing your hotel, restaurant or event venue, gather as much information as possible. Check the space and date availability prior to committing to the site – touring your venue when you are already contracted is a waste of everyone’s time. Don’t introduce yourself to a client on a scheduled site visit and then identify the purpose of their visit.
2. Be ready to show a clean, crisp space
Make sure the space is clean and ready to show. Turn on the lights, set the table, make the bed, pick up the trash. Take a quick tour of the space yourself prior to the client’s arrival. The site is usually the first impression the client will have of the space. Anything undesirable will be memorable.
3. Go out of your way to “wow” the client
