MPI-CAC Members Shine at Annual Awards Celebration

Nearly a dozen MPI-CAC members were honored at the chapter’s Annual Awards Recognition Celebration June 6 at Venue West in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood.

The theme of the event – “shine on”  – was heavily reflected in the décor, with a variety of golden balloons on display as well as gold-sequined pillows on lounge seating and golden chairs, among other shiny accents.

The event also served as a farewell to MPI-CAC President Fergal O’Sullivan, CMP, CASE, who was treated to a performance from Irish dancers from O’Hare Irish Dance and a bagpiper. Incoming president is Erin Babarskis, CMP.

Two members were inducted into the Hall of Fame. For Hall of Fame - Individual, Bill Kubiak, CSEP, of Freeman was honored. TRAVIS Inc. was the recipient for Hall of Fame - Organization.

Tony Lorenz, CMM, of PRA won the Kathy Osterman Lifetime Achievement Award.

Three members were honored by President Fergal O’Sullivan with President’s Awards. Winners included Michelle Castady Orlando, DMCP, of 360 Destination Group; Michelle Johnson of The Anchor Group; and Misty Lichter of Garrett Brands.

Taking home the award for Chapter Leader of the Year was Adam Hud of PSAV. Sasha Sook, CMP, CMM, HMCC, of Summit Chicago was honored with the Eleanor H. Woods Supplier of the Year award.

Planner of the Year winner was Carolyn Paradowski Capobianco, CMP, of CNA Insurance.

Tomorrow’s Leaders awards were given to Kara Ferguson, CMP, MSHTM of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and Erika Johnson of the Chicago History Museum.

Jordan Kusiak of River Roast was the winner of the Young Professional Achievement Award.

Committee of the Year was awarded to the Partner Development Committee.
