Is a CMP Study Group available through MPI CRV?

Yes, Here's how MPI CRV can support your success:

MPI CRV offers a face-to-face CMP Study Group each year to current members of our Chapter.  We require a minimum of 3 CMP candidates to run our 11-week program held in the greater Hartford area.  The course helps both planner and supplier members prepare for a successful completion of the CMP exam.  Members who have been in the meeting industry long enough to meet the application’s requirements for work experience are welcome to attend.

Current MPI CRV CMP Study Group

The MPI CRV CMP Study Group is now a three-part course. Each piece will focus on different facets of the exam experience and participants can register for one, two, or all three parts. Each part of the course is priced individually to allow for maximum participant flexibility and there is a significant cost savings for MPI members. If you are not a member already, consider joining us! You will receive a reduced cost for all three parts of the MPI CRV CMP Study Group along with access to Education sessions at reduced prices (vs. non-member pricing). Build up your clock hours with our EIC approved Education sessions!

Part I is a one-day introductory course that will run through all of the pre-exam information – the application requirements, where/how to earn clock hours, exam reading materials, study tips and tricks, and real-life exam experiences from the test center. We will also take a practice exam in this session so that participants can gauge their readiness and get a feel for how the exam is structured.

Part II is an 11-week study group that will meet every Tuesday night from 6:00-7:30pm (Location TBD). In these sessions, participants will go through each of the nine CMP-IS Domains in detail and gauge understanding of the content with a practice quiz and exercises. The final session is a three-hour meeting in which participants will review the MPI CRV 150 question practice exam.

Part III is a one-day culmination of all preparation and hard work put forth by participants in Parts I and II of the MPI CRV CMP Study Group. In this session, participants will take a deep dive into Domains G, H, and I and will have access to new quizzes and exercises specific to Part III. Participants will also hear from chapter members who have most recently taken the exam. What were there experiences like on the day of the exam? What can you learn and take away from their experiences?

Interested participants should reach out to MPI CRV VP of Education, Lauren Schaller, at laurencdouglas@yahoo.com. Please return the completed 2019 MPI CRV CMP Study Group Interest Form with your e-mail. Locations will be determined based on the number of interested individuals so we encourage participants to register sooner rather than later. We require at least three participants in each part of the course to run the MPI CRV CMP Study Group. Session pricing and (tentative) dates are noted below. Do not hesitate to reach out to Lauren if you have any general questions or need additional details! We look forward to you joining us!
