MPI Connecticut River Valley Committees

 

Time commitment for all committees on average is 1-6 hours per month.

The members of the finance committee help organize budgets, sell sponsorships, develop the special events in our chapter, and select venues for our monthly meetings.

Helpful Skills: Attention to detail, knowledge of basic financial concepts and Excel

The members of the education committee designs, plans, and organizes our amazing education programs that continues to keep our members coming back for more!

Helpful Skills:  Trend watcher, communication and project management

The members of the membership committee assist in answering questions from the interested meeting professionals, recruiting new members, and reminding us when it's time to renew our memberships!

Helpful Skills: Sales, communication, organization and marketing

The members of the leadership development committee are responsible for encouraging member volunteerism and involvement on committees with fun and unique mentoring programs and activities.

Helpful Skills: Communication, creativity, team building and leadership

The members of the marketing & communications committee help us get the word out about who we are, what we offer, and what's coming up on the calendar! The committee is also responsible for managing our social media accounts, writing our newsletters, creating PowerPoint presentations and our new website content!

Helpful Skills: Proofreading, marketing, written communication & social media trends

The members of the strategic alliance committee will work closely with the finance committee to develop partnerships with sponsors for the chapter.

Helpful Skills: Communicating and sales, knowledge of the industry and valuable connections

The members of the special events committee work on planning fun and exciting events! Members will work on all logistics, including securing venues and auction items for our networking events, as well as our famous Holiday Party and June Gala!
