Elevating your Safety Game: How ready will you be when an incident occurs?

Speaker: Jonathan Wackrow, Teneo Risk
When: Thursday, September 27, 2018
11:15AM-11:45AM – New Member Orientation
11:15AM-11:45AM – Mentor  Café
12:00PM –  1:30 PM – Lunch and Program

Description:
While we are living in an uncertain world, a small percentage of us believes that one of our events will be affected by a dramatic situation, like the downtown Dallas Police shootings, in our career.  Odds are, though, that we will experience an unruly demonstration, an intoxicated attendee, a fight, or even a concealed gun accidentally discharging. As meeting professionals, we are the “first reactors” and have a duty of care, morally and legally, to make sure events are as safe as possible. Join us as our keynote speaker, Jonathan Wackrow, retired secret service agent and an exclusive Law Enforcement Analyst for CNN along with a distinguished panel of experts, will share what your first reaction should be, and how to properly prepare for it!

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  1. How to create an atmosphere of situational awareness
  2. Gain tools and pathways to influence key stakeholders
  3. Assess vulnerabilities, and customize a Risk Management Plan
