2019 Spring CMP Study Group

THE STUDY GROUP:  The CMP Study Group is comprised of educational sessions exclusively focused on the study and review of CIC’s International Standards (CMP-IS), as well as the purpose of earning Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to become a Certified Meeting Professional. This program currently meets once a week for (8) weeks and covers the (9) different domains specified in CMP-IS defined by the CMP governing body, the Events Industry Council (EIC)


Facilitated by local CMP industry experts, each session includes a copy of EIC’s CMP International Standards guide, the CIC CMP Handbook, the presentation (handout) from each session, guidance and review of the CMP application, and general information about the exam process.

Class registration: February 1 – February 25, 2019 
CMP Kickoff Networking Social – Monday, March 4 (Before class begins)
Spring class schedule: March 4 – April 22 (8 weeks) 
                                        Day/Time – Every Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
                                        Personal prep week – April 29
                                        Study Day – Saturday, May 4 (TBD)
Exam schedule – May (To be announced by EIC)

CREDITS: The Workshop course counts for 16 continuing education hours (two (2) clock hours per session) toward the current CMP application requirement
