What is the best thing about the meeting and events industry?

My favorite thing about the meeting and events industry is bringing people together. You have the opportunity to bring together people from so many different locations, backgrounds, and/or with different experiences to share and collaborate together. Also, we work with some pretty amazing people which keeps it fun.

What do you hope to gain from your MPI membership?

With my MPI membership, I hope to gain the opportunity to continue to grow in the industry, as well as better myself both professionally and personally. I hope to make long lasting connections and contribute to the growth of the industry and city of Indianapolis.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment to date?

Opening the brand new Embassy Suites Plainfield Indianapolis Airport – both the hotel and event center! This is my first ever pre-opening experience and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

What do you enjoy most in your current role at work?

Knowing that I’m able to contribute to the success of the hotel from the ground up. I handle both the corporate group market as well as business travel, so there is a lot of responsibility and opportunities to learn. I also have a great team!

What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t working?

Being outside! I like to hike with my two pups, go golfing, go to concerts and try new breweries/restaurants.
