Scholarships

MPI Michigan Chapter is dedicated to the professional development of meeting professionals in the state of Michigan. 

MPI Michigan Chapter is pleased to offer scholarships to meeting professionals for select purposes from July 1, 2023- June 30, 2024.

• A limited number of scholarships are available.
• No more than one scholarship will be awarded per person per fiscal year.

Certain Scholarships need to be applied for 14 days prior to the event date.

All completed applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.  The actual number and types of scholarships awarded will be determined in the evaluation process and will be based on the budget established by the MPI Michigan Chapter Board of Directors.

The Scholarship Committee will consider the following factors such when awarding scholarships:

• Chapter and/or Industry Involvement
• Financial Need
• Professional Vision

Requirements of scholarship award winners:

• Participate in an MPI Michigan Chapter Volunteer Committee of the recipient’s choice
• Provide verification of attendance within 30 days of event
• Complete scholarship application form

Scholarships may be awarded for the following professional development opportunities:

• CMP-Certified Meeting Professional (scholarship assists with application and test fees)
• CMM-Certification in Meeting Management
• MPI Michigan Chapter Membership Dues
• MPI Michigan Chapter Events
• World Education Congress
• Student Scholarship (includes student membership and potential educational meetings)
