There’s a new hotel coming to town! The Ottawa International Airport Authority, in partnership with Group Germain Hotels, has announced plans to build a $40 million facility that will be connected to the airport by an indoor skywalk. The Alt Hotel Ottawa Airport, expected to open late 2020, will feature 180 rooms over eight floors, substantial meeting space, and a top floor restaurant providing a 360 degree view of the airport’s operations.

Steeped in history, authentic by nature, The Metcalfe, a locally owned and operated boutique property, has recently completed major renovations. Its new urban casual lobby, completed in late 2017, uses locally repurposed timber beams as the focal point for lighting. Splendid bookshelves and a fireplace add to the many cozy seating areas, providing the perfect venue for a lobby reception after your meeting. In addition, the stylish guestroom renovations, to be completed by the end of March, will mirror the homey, comfortable feel of the lobby.
