Arzoo Zaheer is excited to be the new Event Assistant at One World Film Festival, responsible for coordinating festival programming and implementing the marketing strategy. One World Film Festival, which is now Ottawa's longest running documentary festival, will begin celebrating its 30th anniversary on Sep 26. This position is ideal for Zaheer, since it requires an array of experience including marketing, writing and event planning, plus it will allow her to learn new skills. The long awaited Confederation Line of OC Transpo’s LRT is scheduled to officially open on September 14, 2019. This date comes with mixed feelings from some residents who worry about the noise the trains brings to their neighborhoods, as well as changes to commute times, which from some locations are longer. Either way, it will be great for this phase of the project to finally be unveiled!
