Sara Melvin, CMP

January – a month of resolutions, recharging, and here in Tampa – the occasional pirate party!   If your resolution was to spend more time with your MPI Tampa Bay friends – you’re in luck, because we have a lot of fun waiting for you!
Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater After 5 at Watervue Grill.  What an incredible venue, with even better food and beverage.  If you haven’t checked it out yet, get there in time to see the sun set!
Our Board of Directors are so delighted to approve the 2019-2020 slate.  Please take the time to review on our website here and congratulate the incoming and returning members.  It’s not too late to get involved, we are still looking for chairs for next year so please let me or any of our current board members know if you are interested!
I hope you’re ready for all the excitement February has ahead, we have a packed calendar for you!  On February 5th, we will get to experience the brand new Legacy Hotel at IMG Academy.  Minutes from the world-class sports facility, this opportunity is not to be missed!  Up next we will have our 2ndAnnual Yappy Hour benefitting the Humane Society of Tampa on February 9th at Franklin Manor.  Last year we raised $2,100 and helped two doggies find their forever home.  Come help us beat our 2019 goal and pet a pup or two!  On February 13th, we’ll have our first education of the new year! Come check out the beautiful Glazer Children’s Museum and earn EIC credits towards your CMP – win, win!
Springs just around the corner, which means 2019 Meetings Academy!  Our committee has been working tirelessly to put together an elevated and creative program that’s sure to exceed your expectations.  Come experience The Regent, with us while connecting with chapter members and earning credits towards your CMP.  Stay tuned for more details soon!
Cheers to the new, exciting year ahead!
