Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) Awards
This Award Program is designed to recognize people or organizations outside the direct industry which have supported the development of meetings and conventions or the development of policy and programs impacting the industry. Each Canadian chapter is to recognize one person or organization in their community who has made a difference to the meetings industry but may not be actively involved in it.
These awards will be announced nationally and presented at the GMID session as part of the overall program. The GMID Award gives the Chapter an opportunity recognize the accomplishments of people or organizations contributing to the meetings sector and strengthen relationships with external supporters.
Award Criteria
- Can be awarded to a an individual or an organization
- Does not need to be an MPI member
- Does not need to be working directly in the meetings or event industry
- Must have contributed significantly to the development or success of the meetings industry in your community in the past year
