International Volunteer Committees

 

To learn more about the committees commissioned for 2019 and to apply to serve as a committee member, select the committee below in which you would like to volunteer. Participation requires minimal travel with most meetings conducted over conference calls, and some groups meeting face-to-face at WEC. Applications for 2020 volunteer committees open on September 25, 2019, and will close on October 31, 2019.

Select Committees


Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Identify areas and opportunities for MPI to increase the diversity of its overall community, especially as it relates to the next generation of chapter leadership roles, and provide guidance and feedback to staff that enables MPI to create a more inclusive environment across MPI’s community, events and chapters.

Advisory Councils


Chapter & Membership Advisory Council

Provide feedback and input on MPI Global initiatives and strategy as requested by MPI staff on issues directly impacting chapters and members.

 

 

 

RISE Awards Committee

Lead the annual promotion and evaluation of RISE awards submissions and make recommendations to the International Board of Directors. Regularly assess the program design, impact and awareness of the RISE awards.

Young Leaders Advisory Council

Assist in the development of strategy and project plans designed to connect young leaders with MPI chapters and MPI Global offerings that support the transition from student to industry professional. 

 

 

 

Signature Event Education Proposal Review Committee

Support MPI’s education team in the review and selection of relevant education and live content through thorough evaluation of speaker proposals for MPI’s signature live events. Act as a sounding board and provide input for topics, speakers and educational format.

European Advisory Council

Act as the “voice” of the MPI European community in providing recommendations and input regarding the MPI’s European strategy, with a focus on elevating MPI’s Global brand within Europe.  Input focuses on membership growth, chapter stability and implementation of event strategies that consistently deliver education, networking and increased business development opportunities for global sponsorship and MPI Foundation.

 

 

 

RISE Up Committee

Operationalize best practices of previous educational RISE Awards nominees, or recipients across the MPI Community.  Beta test, implement and gather chapter feedback and develop implementation guidance for review by the International Board of Directors.

Canadian Advisory Council

Act as the “voice” of the MPI Canadian community in providing recommendations and input regarding MPI’s market position, chapter support and community strategy that will elevate the MPI Global brand within Canada. Input focuses on membership growth, chapter stability and implementation of event strategies that consistently deliver community value through education, networking and increased business development opportunities for MPI and the MPI Foundation.
