The power and creative synergism that comes from a recently formed partnership between the IMEX Group and Montreal-based C2 International will be on full display when C2 presents the Thursday keynote at IMEX America, a masterclass titled, “Emotions and Technology: An Exploration of Connection,” presented by speakers Jessica Gibbons and Adekambi Laleye.
The session, at 9:45 a.m. in the Sands Showroom, offers strategies and techniques for planners to engage attendees hungry for unforgettable experiences and the ability to be at the center of it all. The presentation will offer a glimpse into how C2, known for its shake-things-up approach, harnesses tech in new ways to engage event audiences.
Learning outcomes will include an understanding of how tech enhances the live event experience, an understanding of how tech can be used to create a personalized experience for each attendee and how to emotionally connect with audiences.
In the wake of the IMEX/C2 partnership rollout at IMEX Frankfurt 2018, C2 will offer five presentations in all at IMEX America. The others are: “Placing the Participant at the Center of Events” (1:45 p.m., on Smart Monday); “Collaboration is the New Innovation,” which will utilize the C2 Cloud Lab (Booth D4844 at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday); “Crafting a Five-star Experience” (11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the C2 Cloud Lab) and “Cross Pollinating Your Way to Event Success,” C2 Cloud Lab, at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Carina Bauer, CEO of the IMEX Group, says the partnership with C2, known for techniques like putting attendees in chairs suspended from the ceiling, brings an innovative freshness to the table.
“We know that fresh ideas rarely appear from thin air—the right conditions need to be created for inspiration to strike,” Bauer says. And new twists can be expected from C2 at IMEX America.
