What’s in it for you?

I received a scholarship for an annual membership and I have to say, I enjoyed the process immensely from beginning to end. Besides the obvious benefit of enabling me to participate in the chapter one more year, the scholarship allowed me to continue volunteering and to do deeper work in the development of membership benefits that I am passionate about: the Mentor Café. Having the chance to continue the work I started last year on the Mentor Café is giving me the gratifying satisfaction of seeing a project through to the end. In addition, saving my employer money on membership fees allows me to attend iConnect and absorb all the education that event delivers.

I found the application experience to be enlightening, too!  As I recalled my active participation throughout the year, I realized how involved MPI is in my life and vice versa. Staying connected each month through monthly meetings, committee calls and project work is truly one of the greatest benefits I receive from membership.  It was also very rewarding to be recognized as worthy of a scholarship in front of my peers. That sense of community, close connectivity and vast resources is so valuable that it is a useful exercise in itself to reflect on what a year’s activity amounts to. I’m grateful to have found an extended family of friends and professionals in my industry that allow me to sharpen skills and gain experience. MPI does all that for me… what can it do for you?
