Meeting Professional of the 4th Quarter 2018-2019

Congratulations to Philip Lau for being named Meeting Professional of the 4th Quarter 2018-2019. Philip has been an instrumental part of the chapter within the Volunteer Development Committee serving as Chair for two years! Here are a few of the comments from his nomination: Philip was a strong leader of his committee for two consecutive years. He engaged excellent committee members who were eager to step up and participate. Their process of periodic check-ins with other Committees Chairs to update the Chapter volunteer list resulted in achieving their goal of 170 overall Chapter volunteers in 2018-19. Philip understands succession planning, turning the “well oiled machine” in the words of one Board member over to Jordan Wong and his Co-Chair, Tanjeet Santini. Prior to Volunteer Development, Philip led the now disbanded Community Involvement Committee in 2016-17 when the Chapter produced 8 or so standalone CI events plus activities in conjunction with other events.
