MPI Toronto Chapter Awards Program

The MPI Toronto Chapter Awards Program is designed to recognize excellence in active chapter members, for their commitment, service and involvement in the chapter; industry and community at large.

The first awards were given out in 1990, and since then, the MPI Toronto Chapter Awards have grown in industry recognition and prestige. Recipients of past Awards reflect the best of the best in the meetings industry. View Past MPI Toronto Chapter Award Recipients.

As part of the awards submission, nominees must submit extensive information and documentation to demonstrate to the Awards Selection Committee their contributions and successes in the meeting industry. The awards Selection Committee has the arduous task of reviewing all the submissions. Submissions are judged according to an objective point-based system. Once all submissions have been reviewed, and points assigned according to the point matrix, the nominee with the highest number of points within their submission category is selected as the recipient of the award. In the event of a tie, submissions are re-reviewed and recounted to ensure accuracy of point allocations. The Awards Selection Committee may award two awards in a single category in the event of a tie.
